Lokesh Kanagaraj’s last outing with Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, was a great hit and it created records at the box office. The director has confirmed now, he is joining with Vijay again and it will be a solo project.
Currently, Vijay is on the preproduction works of his ‘Thalapathy 65’ with Nelson Dilipkumar and the ‘Sun Pictures’. Pooja Hegde is said to play the lead opposite Vijay, and the director along with the actor are at Russia, on a location hunt for the movie.
Mean time it is said that Vijay has agreed with the ‘Thenandal Studios’, the producers of Vijay’s 2017 movie, ‘Mersal’, for his 66th movie. The movie is said to be a compact one and the producers have decided to bring in director Lokesh Kanagaraj, after considering AR Murugadass and Atlee before that.
Lokesh also has confirmed that he is helming ‘Thalapathy 66’ and Vijay will be appearing in an entirely new role, much different from his earlier movies.
Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movie with Kamal Haasan, ‘Vikram’ is pending, and is expected to start after the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. And ‘Thalapathy 66’ will start after the completion of this and ‘Thalapathy 65’.
