Director Gautham Menon is joining with Simbu, in ‘Pathu Thala’, playing a vital role.
The Kannada movie, ‘Mufti’, starring Shiva Rajkumar and Srimurali, directed by Narthan, was released in 2017. The movie was received well and remade in Tamil with Simbu and Gautham Karthik in lead roles. The remake was directed by the same director Narthan and produced by Gnanavelraja. After few schedules, the shoot was stopped due to some conflicts and Narthan withdrew from the project.
After the conflicts were overcome, the project was started with director Krishna and with a new title, ‘Pathu Thala’. Kalayarasan, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Teejay Arunasalam are playing key roles in the movie and AR Rahman is scoring the background music and composing the songs for the movie.
The current update on the movie is, director Gautham Menon is joining the team, playing a pivot role of a police officer. Gautham Menon is a good friend of Simbu and this is the first time he is joining with Simbu in other’s direction.
The movie is expected to roll on after the completion of ‘Maanaadu’ and the initial shoots are said to be around Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.
