Remo Movie Review
Remo Movie, which expected to give a big breakthrough to Sivakarthikeyan is now on screens. Moreover the big names involved in the movie increased the expectation on the film.
Sivakarthikeyan is ambitious of becoming a mass hero, when he approaches director K S Ravikumar for that, the director wanted him to play a nurse role. The hero accepts this and puts on a lady getup, meanwhile he meets Keerthy Suresh and falls in love with her. And then he joins as a nurse in the same hospital where Keerthy Suresh is a doctor. What happens then, did he achieve his ambition and love is the rest movie.
Both the roles of Sivakarthikeyan works well, this movie has showcased an actor in him. Especially his looks in nurse getup is stunning. Usually when a man disguises as a woman, a slight overdo will also look awkward. Shiva has well handled it and has executed the role with dignity. Keerthy Suresh as an innocent girl scores in her performance and adds beauty to the screen. Sathish’s one liners are enjoyable and brings out laughter. Saranya Ponvannan has taken her usual role of an easygoing mother, and has done it with ease. Rajendran, Yogi Babu, Aadukalam Naren and Kalyani Nayrajan have done their part well.
P C Sreeram’s cinematography is the biggest strength of the movie, each and every frame speaks and he makes the complete movie a visual treat. Already the Remo album by Anirudh is a hit, watching those songs in screen was a delight. Ruben’s editing might have been crispier.
The debut director Bakkiyaraj Kannan has planned to give a full fledged entertainer, he has also achieved in that. But the story line seems to be similar with many other movies which have been executed in a trendy manner. Also the movie has many logical slips which might have been avoided. Remo is a decent entertainer which is watchable for P C Sreeram’s camera work and Sivakarthikeyan’s performance.
